This memorial inside the Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY honors the 28 Irish immigrants who volunteered to fight in Korea for their adopted country, but were killed in the war. Remains of 5 of them were never recovered.
This memorial was built in 2013, after they were finally granted US citizenship (albeit posthumously in 2003).
